Building Integrated Solution Heating and Cooling System

With our focus on NetZero, working with one of our customers we recently supplied and installed a Space Building Integrated Solution to two of their sites.  This marks a big development with the BIS product.

The main purpose of our BIS system is to give customers the option for a totally natural integrated heating and cooling system.  Encompassing Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning, it makes 100% use of the refrigeration waste heat and cooling effect.

To reduce complexity and cost, rather than a four-pipe configuration, this particular system is simplified with a two-pipe configuration.  We also utilised standard ceiling cassettes rather than split heating/ cooling units which in effect doubled the capacity of each cassette and reduced the number required by half.  This in turn offered a commercial saving accordingly.

• Utilises all waste heat from the refrigeration system and supplements with a false load to top up in winter
• Delivers heat to the store via C02 ceiling cassettes
• Offers ‘free cooling’ of the store in higher ambient temperatures
• Our latest challenge was to simplify the design and reduce pipe work and complication
• This was successfully achieved at Cirencester where we delivered a 2 pipe heating & cooling system with pack mounted controls – reducing costs & installation times
